I'm dreaming of.....(picture heavy post)

a White Christmas! And it's done! It's by Victoria Sampler, done on white Belfast linen with DMC floss, Kreinik braid and blending filament, perle cotton 8 and 12, Medici wool, and white pearl beads. I'm really pleased with the way it came out and it was a fairly quick stitch, once I got past the wreath. Here are a few pictures, sorry they're not better.

I really like the modified hardanger band at the bottom!

I got some pretty good closeups, though. If anyone wants the chart, let me know. I won't stitch it again. If more than one person is interested, I'll put the names into a hat and draw one.

Last weekend was the Hoosier Stitchers Christmas party and what a great time we had! Liz, one of the owners of Fancy Works, framed my memorial piece and brought it to me. I love it! She does really great framing!

Here are a few pictures of some of the show and tell from the party. This first piece is Rosewood Manor's And a Forest Grew --- over one!!!

A Quaker Christmas, also over one, but I don't remember who stitched it! Actually, this may be A Quaker Christmas II, stitched by Leona

There were a lot of finishes brought for show and tell and all if it was just gorgeous!

This is Lily. My son and daughter-in-law adopted her a couple months ago.

She is a Shih-tzu, Jack Russell mix and she is such a sweetie!! She is about5 or 6 months old now and they are all getting along great. Of course, Lily is spoiled! After her first night with them, I asked my son how she did in her crate and he said she did very well...... after he slept on the floor next to her crate all night! LOL!

I just have to show you some more pictures from last weekend's party.

The sock monkey and the snowman's trim is eyelash yarn wound into cording.

on the ground behind the above table, you can see Julie's Lord's Prayer framed, resting against the wall.

This is a journal! If any of you has this pattern (I think it's out of a Leisure Arts magazine) I'd love to purchase it! (it's OOP now)

Another Lord's Prayer, stitched over one on a light blue, overdyed sparkly Lugana (I think) Just scrumptious!

This is going to be finished into a bell pull by Rhonda. I can't remember the designer's name.

Well, I think I've babbled on long enough. If I don't get another post before the big day, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and that all your wishes come true!

Eskie smiles,

Terri

Wow what a lot to see, and gorgeous work. Cute pup. I'm going to keep that mix in mind in the future.

Merry Christmas to you, too. I, though, am hoping for a NOT white Christmas. So far we have rain in the forecast and that's fine with me ~lol~

Lily is so cute. White Christmas is beautiful. I love Thea's designs. I could swop you for her Gingerbread House or some of her garden or alphabet series. Wishing you a very blessed and joyous Christmas and a happy New Year, may it bring you gifts of joy, health and happiness.
