Thrift store find and New Year's start

Hello!~~  I hope everyone is well and had a good holiday.  Ours was very nice!

First, here is my New Year's day start.  The Scent of Old Roses by Mirabilia.  This is the first design of hers that I've ever stitched and I'm loving it so far!  On 32 ct. lambswool linen with recommended threads.

Remember I signed up for the Hardanger Accessories club at Nordic Needle?
This is the box that came with the first shipment.   Well, we went to a local thrift store last night and look what I found for only $10!

Another box exactly like the first one!  The only difference is that the 2nd one is a music box, but the rest is the same.  And they are so gorgeous!!  Here's a better picture of them side by side

I love great finds like this!!  Doing a little happy dance here!!  :-)  Looks like I will be doing the insert for the box twice - one for me and one for mom!

I've been working on Emma Miles for the Scarlet Letter SAL, but don't have a current picture.  I will get that in the next couple of days.

See ya!~~

Eskie smiles,

Terri
