I am just now watching the opening ceremonies in Paris and I have to say - WOW! I think these are the best opening ceremonies I have ever seen! LOVE IT!
I wish all the athletes safe and successful games!

I finished Star Spangled. The fabric below is what I will use to back it. I am going to make it into a small pillow/pinkeep. Stitched on mystery blue linen with Ginnie Thompson flower thread in red and blue. Fun stitch and I love the flower thread! Thanks again, Robin!
I follow a blog, Brynwood Needleworks, and won this scissor fob that she made. It is done in gold and green metal threads in a goldwork technique. He was so hard to photograph! But he is gorgeous and I call him Prince Charming! LOL! Thanks to Donna at Brynwood Needleworks!I took a mini vacation last week. I drove down to Asheville, NC on Wednesday, went to see the Biltmore Estate (Vanderbilts) and drove home on Friday. Had a great time! Took Kody with me and he was SO good! Here are a couple pictures.
The largest home in America. Finished in 1897, but George Washington Vanderbilt hosted his family and friends there at Christmas 1895.This is Dream House, by Pocket Full of Dreams (copyright 1990) a freebie for DMC using DMC Flower thread. I think I started this in the mid to late 90's, but not sure. Just finished a couple of days ago.
I miss the DMC Flower threads. I think I have most of them, but not sure. There were 108 colors and they were discontinued in 2003.
Have a great week!~~
I have a couple finishes. The first is Patriotic Tiny Town.
Hello again! I have some stash and a couple of finishes to show.
Harvest Tiny Town, Frosty Tiny Town, Any Tiny Town, More Any Town Tiny Town, Seaside Tiny Town, and Patriotic Tiny Town, all by Heart in Hand Needleart. Christmas Eve Mouse and Rose Heart Bunny by Just Nan. The Queen Bee by October House Fiber Arts.
I knew I had some more!
One of the Tiny Town's that I thought was in the other pile. Bees in the Greenhouse by the Blue Flower, Christmas Countdown by Erica Michaels, more linen, the 2023 JCS Christmas Ornament issue, Hardanger Filling Stitches by Yvette Stanton, Songbird Serenade by Counting Puddles.Timely Trinkets November Edition by Joseph's Workshop. I finished this one.
I was not impressed by the kit. The linen was cut wonky and not serged. The kit included a size 24 needle which was way too big for 32 count linen. For the price I paid, it should have been nicer. I probably won't buy another, even though they are adorable. The above gets finished to go in the little box 2 pictures up. Oh, and there are no finishing instructions included in the kit and the chart was very hard to read.
Whew! That's a lot of stash! I think that should hold me for a bit. Maybe.....
See you soon!
Hello everyone! I hope there are at least a few people who still read my blog. I retired March 1, yay! I retired after almost 36 years with the Indiana Department of Correction. And I don't miss it! I have a few pictures of the stuff that was gifted to me for my retirement. I was truly spoiled!
My best friend got me the stuff in the first 3 pictures, plus a pair of spring themed hot pads which I forgot to photograph.
I always start a new project on New Year's Day and this year, I can't decide which one! I've narrowed it down to the 4 below.
