TUSAL, some bead stash, and.......

*picture heavy post*
.... A FINISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooo hoooo! Dance of the Roses is done! And she is gorgeous! Just look at her.....

She is stitched on 28 count Crystal Moonglow Lugana with DMC and Rainbow Gallery Splendor silks

Her face and hands are in silks

I love the long stem rose!

And the bouquet she is carrying is just lovely!

I'm just SO pleased with her! And she was fun to stitch!

I went to a gem, mineral, and jewelry show today at the state fairgrounds. Wow, was that fun! I thought I was going to a bead show, but I hadn't ever been to this one before. There were lots of beads, mostly semi-precious, and LOTS of minerals, crystals, rocks, and finished jewelry. Here are the beads I bought.

From left to right - 2 strands 4mm pink fire polished beads, 1 strand of a gorgeous garnet-y red rondelles, about 4 or 5 mm, 2 strands of 4 mm white pearls, 1 tube 11/0 white seed beads, 2 tubes size 8/0 white seed beads, 1 tube lime green size 11/0 seeds, 2 tubes size 8/0 seed beads that are a topaz-y color - gorgeous! And 2 tubes 8/0 beads in a deep blue iris.

I was looking at some hand carved beads and saw some frogs in aventurine, rose quartz, and some kind of opal. I wanted one, but couldn't decide which one to get, so.....

I got all 3!! I'm thinking of making some thread pickers with the frogs. Only I think I'll call them froggers! :-)

And last, but not least, my TUSAL for this month.

In my snip-its jar.....

I worked mostly on Dance of the Roses all month, but I think I see some yarn from the crocheted afghan I'm working on, too.

And my orts for the year so far. Not too bad. Now that I have a finish, maybe that will motivate me to stitch more on my UFO's and WIPs.

Two people gave me blog awards recently (Julie and I can't remember the other one!) I am flattered and honored, but I don't "do" blog awards. I started blogging to share my love of stitching, beading, crochet, family, pets, etc., not to earn awards. But I do thank you!!!

That's all for now!

Eskie smiles,

Terri
