Froggers, wins, stash, updates, and finishes!

Hello!  Sorry I haven't posted sooner.  Life is busy around here lately and a few days under the weather didn't help any.

(warning- picture heavy post)

I do have a little bead finish.  I made these 2 froggers using cloisonne beads, swarovski crystals, rose quartz beads, and 2 adorable frogs, one in rose quartz, and the other green aventurine.  Aren't they cute?
I won a giveaway from Kathy over at Gracewood Stitches.  Check out her blog and designs. Both are lovely!  A huge bag of silk flosses, fabric, and a lovely coaster with an Ackworth School design on it.  Yay me!  :-)  Thanks Kathy!!

Last Saturday (March 1) we had a get together at an LNS and here is what I bought.  A needle nanny (bad picture, sorry)
This wonderful stand at 30% off!

and these charts

I can't get the picture to rotate, sorry.  Actually, it's 2 charts and a kit.  The Periwinkle Promises kit was only $3!

And a finish!  I started this hardanger piece, China Rose by Cindy Valentine, back in 2008 or 2009 and it's finally done!  woo hoo!
 A close up
I joined an SAL on Facebook for A Christmas Garden by BBD and here is where I am on it.  Loving stitching this one!
I also started (Last year some time) a reproduction sampler from Scarlet Letter and here is where I am on it.  I was too lazy to take it off of the Q-snaps, sorry, but this is all I've gotten done since the last update.  Loving stitching on this one too!
Look who's feeling better!
We're having great weather, for the time being.  Supposed to get some more of that ugly white stuff on Wednesday,  Ugh!

Take care!~~

Life's a stitch and a sick puppy

I had to take my oldest dog, Allie, to the vet today.  She had an anal gland abscess and rupture.  She's still dopy from the anesthesia.

This is my first stitchy finish this year.  Stitched on unknown linen/evenweave with Dinky Dyes silks.  It was a fun stitch!

I hope everyone is warm and safe!  I'll be back soon with some other updates.

IHSW update and a few other things

Hello! I didn't get to stitch as much as I wanted this weekend because I had to take Allie to the vet early Saturday morning to have this removed from her mouth.

I know it's not a very good picture, but it was hard to photograph. It is a spring! Kind of like one from the inside of an ink pen, only heavier, more industrial. I have no idea how long it was there or how she did it! The vet said it had been there at least a couple weeks. She had to be sedated and received some anesthesia, pain medication, and antibiotics, but as you can see now, she's doing well.

Here is where I started on Dance of the Roses for the weekend.

And here is where I ended up just a short while ago.

I worked on the bottom left and the upper right, near the needle minder. I'm going to do some more in just a bit.

I won a surprise package from Minnie at All XX's and it arrived a couple days ago.

Some cute patterns and a couple small kits.

And I haven't looked too closely at this one, but I think it was a freebie. It's a very nice wedding sampler that I just may do for my son and DIL that got married last November. I've been looking for one to do for them! Thanks, Minnie!!!!

And last, but not least, I belong to Hoosier Stitchers group and had ordered a bag last summer, I think it was. It arrived last week and I'm just now getting around to posting pictures.

The front.....

and the back. Can you see the pockets? The inside of the bag doesn't have any pockets, but the straps are adjustable and there is a place on the outside to fasten a key chain! I really love this bag!

Well, that's all for now. I'll be back in a day or two with my February TUSAL post.

Terri
