IHSW update

Again, I'm late posting, but oh well. It was a beautiful weekend here and I was outside most of the time doing yard work. But I did get to stitch some in the evenings and here is where I am on Dance of The Roses by L&L

Actually, this picture is the last one I took before this IHSW weekend.

This is where I stopped last night

As you can see, I don't have much farther to go!

I am SO excited to have this almost done!

I will be having a giveaway, but not sure when. I live with my mom who has Alzheimer's and I keep pretty busy, but I do have some new and gently used items I want to find new homes for. Here is a picture of some of what I have so far.

White Christmas by Victoria's Sampler and Home of a Needleworker by LHN.
I will also be giving away a needlework stand and some other charts and maybe some fabric and fibers. I'll be sure to let y'all know when it is!

And just for fun, here is Allie wanting a belly rub.

Take care and enjoy this wonderful spring weather!!

PS - I turned off the word verification thingie. I was having a hard time with it too!

IHSW update and a few other things

Hello! I didn't get to stitch as much as I wanted this weekend because I had to take Allie to the vet early Saturday morning to have this removed from her mouth.

I know it's not a very good picture, but it was hard to photograph. It is a spring! Kind of like one from the inside of an ink pen, only heavier, more industrial. I have no idea how long it was there or how she did it! The vet said it had been there at least a couple weeks. She had to be sedated and received some anesthesia, pain medication, and antibiotics, but as you can see now, she's doing well.

Here is where I started on Dance of the Roses for the weekend.

And here is where I ended up just a short while ago.
Link
I worked on the bottom left and the upper right, near the needle minder. I'm going to do some more in just a bit.

I won a surprise package from Minnie at All XX's and it arrived a couple days ago.

Some cute patterns and a couple small kits.

And I haven't looked too closely at this one, but I think it was a freebie. It's a very nice wedding sampler that I just may do for my son and DIL that got married last November. I've been looking for one to do for them! Thanks, Minnie!!!!

And last, but not least, I belong to Hoosier Stitchers group and had ordered a bag last summer, I think it was. It arrived last week and I'm just now getting around to posting pictures.

The front.....

and the back. Can you see the pockets? The inside of the bag doesn't have any pockets, but the straps are adjustable and there is a place on the outside to fasten a key chain! I really love this bag!

Well, that's all for now. I'll be back in a day or two with my February TUSAL post.

TUSAL, IHSW and Themealicious

I didn't get a chance to take a before picture, but I also didn't get to stitch much this weekend. Here is where I am on Dance of the Roses by L&L. And this also fits in with the Themealicious theme this month.

Here is where I keep my snip-its.....

and then I will transfer it each month into this....

Which you can't see very well, so I may have to find something else. Here's a view from the top.

I've got threads in there from the above project and the wrappers from the silks for the Pinkes Sampler, along with a few of the threads from that. I also have a little bit of yarn in there from a couple projects.

That's all for now!

IHSW After, stash and a silly cat!

Here is my progress from the weekend. I didn't get to stitch as much as I would have liked, but I didn't do too bad.

I was able to go to the Hoosier Stitchers stitch-in on Saturday and stopped at a little quilting shop and found these.

Blue stork scissors and a Mill Hill ornament kit!

This is my mom's silly cat, Payton, in a basket.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

IHSW!! Woo hoo!!!

I had had other plans for this weekend, but they've just changed, so I hope to be able to go to a stitching get together tomorrow and get lots of stitching done this weekend! I will post a picture of my "before" when I get home later.

IHSW

Well, even though I ended up sick Saturday night, all day Sunday, and all day today, I managed to finish up the boquet she's holding at about 3 this morning.

Welcome to my new followers! I'm glad you've joined me!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Don Weldon. He will be missed.
