Over due post

Hello! This is an overdue post. I hurt my back last Saturday morning somehow and haven't been able to do much of anything. I couldn't get comfortable enough to do any stitching, but I did do some beading and crochet. I don't have any pictures of the crochet, but I do of the beading.

These are more of the tennis bracelets I've made. From the top, the colors are - crystal copper bicones and silver lined gold 11/0 seed beads, sapphire, amethyst, ruby, emerald, and crystal AB bicones with silver lined silver 11/0 seed beads. These are very addictive, fun, and easy to make!

I used magnetic clasps on the top and bottom bracelets, and silver toggles on the others. I really like the way these turned out!

Another shot.....

You can see the clasps in this shot. I'm definitely going to do more of these! I have crystal colors I haven't used yet, like jet, white opal, burgundy, jonquil, peridot.... And the combinations I'm thinking of (colored seed beads and crystal bicones is one) are almost endless!

And I have a new toy!

I bought a Nook Tablet. I'm really enjoying using this! And you can see that I've got my days and nights mixed up. If anyone has one and can offer advice or tips, I'd appreciate it! I'd like to figure out how to load pictures to it so I can blog from it. My desktop computer is getting old and slow .... kind of like me! :-)

I had a picture of my WIPocalypse and Themealicious project, but for some reason it didn't load to my computer. I will post again this weekend for the IHSW coming up. Hopefully, I'll get some stitching done now that my back is better.

Welcome to my new followers! I'm glad you joined me!

Eskie smiles,

Terri

New followers, I won, and a start and finish

Hello and welcome to my newest followers! If I'm not a follower of your blog, please let me know so that I can correct that!

I started, and finished, this tennis bracelet this evening. It only took about an hour! The pattern is based on a pattern by Sandra Halpenny with some modifications by Angie. I used silver lined silver seed beads, 11/0 and crystal AB 4 mm swarovski bicones. I love how it sparkles I plan to do more in red, blue, green, purple, and whatever other crystal colors I may have. I should be able to crank out a couple during the superbowl later today.
(all pictures are clickable)

I entered a giveaway on Victorian Motto Sampler's blog and won this hand dyed trim. The color is called Champagne and I love it!

I think I'm going to use it in finishing this as either a flat fold or a pin keep.

I plan to post again later today or tomorrow my progress on Dance of the Roses for the Themealicious and WIPocalypse challenges.

I'll be stitching and beading today, especially during the superbowl. I'll be glad when that's over! I live near Indianapolis and that's all that has been on TV! Super this and super that! In case you can't tell, I'm not particularly an NFL fan. I watch the game for the commercials, LOL!

Take care!

TUSAL, IHSW and Themealicious

I didn't get a chance to take a before picture, but I also didn't get to stitch much this weekend. Here is where I am on Dance of the Roses by L&L. And this also fits in with the Themealicious theme this month.

Here is where I keep my snip-its.....

and then I will transfer it each month into this....

Which you can't see very well, so I may have to find something else. Here's a view from the top.

I've got threads in there from the above project and the wrappers from the silks for the Pinkes Sampler, along with a few of the threads from that. I also have a little bit of yarn in there from a couple projects.

That's all for now!

Terri
